The population is mainly white who occupy 92.5percent while Asians are 2.5percent, black 1.percent, while the chine's and other mixed races occupy 3percent.The town is full of flint from the bronze age and Neolithic age .It was originally named as Old Harlow. New Town Harlow was built after the second world war. The district boasts of green parklands with foot paths and 21percent is designated as a greenbelt.
